Our Process

Let's meet

The initial review of your business will focus on dialogue rather than documentation. We don't require you to have a complete business plan to engage in a discussion with us. That's one of the areas we help. Bossanova

Strategic review

If the opportunity looks promising, under NDA, we will do a strategic review going deep with a market sweep, a critical competitor analysis, an environmental audit, and and understanding of the skills capability and gaps of the business operations with the broader team. We will also start to brainstorm around key issues such as the overall-all strategy, options and positioning. This will lead to Bossanova Audit presentation for debate, stimulation and challenge.

Due diligence

Once we have made an investment decision and broad terms have been agreed, we will proceed with deeper due diligence into the company with a focus on understanding what is the size of problem the company is providing a solution, the perceived customer value and the checking financial models and upside opportunity. This may include additional reference calls with partners and customers, personal reference calls, legal and an accounting audit (if relevant), and the drafting of final legal documentation.

Ownership

We do not aim to take over the control of the company through ownership. Our objective is to support the entrepreneurs who wish to drive and grow the business, innovate and enjoy winning the challenges. This in turn grows our value. While we sit on the boards of the companies we invest in, most of our contribution comes between board meetings, through helping with the execution, recruitment and developing the product, sales and marketing plan. We also do everything we can to assist our portfolio companies to work together.
